麻豆精选鈥檚 summer just got a little more colourful.

Local artist Raj Jain is inviting people to grab a brush, explore the city, and discover the art in everyday life with his new Walking Watercolor Wednesdays workshop series.

Hosted by Studio on Water, the weekly outdoor sessions start June 25 and run every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. through the summer.

鈥淢y visual art is really about observing places, people, and finding the connections between them,鈥 said Jain. 鈥淚t鈥檚 about slowing down and seeing the beauty in everyday moments.鈥

Jain is a multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, and visual storyteller whose work explores themes of travel, queer identity, belonging, and cultural transition.

His art is currently on display in the Okanagan, with upcoming exhibitions planned for the Canadian Country Music Awards in 麻豆精选 and international showcases in Germany and Czechia as part of Chemnitz 鈥 European Capital of Art 2025.

Walking Watercolor Wednesdays are open to everyone, even if you鈥檝e never picked up a brush. Participants will wander 麻豆精选鈥檚 streets, waterfront, and tucked-away spots, learning how to sketch and paint using ink and watercolour.

Each three-hour session costs $65 per person, but those who register for the June 25 launch will receive a 20 per cent discount.

Advance registration is required through the .
